Washington: Church variety show hits town on Feb. 27

Mark your calendar for Saturday, Feb. 27 for the Washington Baptist Church’s 14th Annual Variety Show at The Theatre in Washington.

A scene from last year's WBC variety show.

A free chili/soup supper at the church will precede the 7 p.m. show. Supper at the church starts at 5:30.

The theme of this year’s program is “God Is Great” and the special guests will be the contemporary Christian singing group, Immersed. Of course, the church will reprise the ever-popular Ma and Brother routine, along with another surprise performance by church pastor Rev. Phil Bailey.

The Washington Baptist Church Praise Team will provide the theme song again and there will be skits, drama, jokes, musical performances and youth presentations.

The show is a wonderful relaxed evening of entertainment that the whole family can enjoy. There is no cost for the show but an opportunity to donate will be offered to all who come. This year’s contributions will go toward Haiti relief efforts through the Virginia Baptist Mission Board in Richmond. Contact the church office for details at 540-675-3336.
