Washington: Wash that dog

Katie Bailey will be washing dogs this summer. Staff photo by Jan Clatterbuck.

Some children sell lemonade for a summer job but not 10-year-old Katie Bailey.

Katie took it upon herself to work for the summer after school is out, but not in any of the usual ways. She has started a dog bathing service. One can bring their dog to Katie’s parents’ place or Katie will go to the home of the dog’s owner.
Katie said that “she loves working with animals and plans to become a vet.” The money she raises will go toward her own animals.

Katie is the daughter of Molly and Mark Bailey of Harris Hollow. You can give her a call at 540-675-3813 if you would like more information.

Good luck, Katie!
