Rapp Facts

Did you know that … Ellerslie, just outside of Little Washington on Tiger Valley Road, was once the jewel of the great Rappahannock County estate of John Jett, who owned considerable property south and east of the town. The Ellerslie mansion is long gone but its old gardens live on. Boxwoods from the plantation are planted on the grounds of the National Cathedral in Washington.
Don’t let anything else grow beneath your feet before you visit us at the little red brick building at 328 Gay St. in Washington. We can give you cuttings from our landscape plants; some day they will be historical! And do become a member of the Society.
