On behalf of the the Link Community Center at the Old Sperryville School, we would like to thank all who attended the Sperryville School Reunion on Saturday, or contributed in some way to its success.

The school closed in 1968, and many who graduated from that wonderful old school in the 1940s and ’50s, as well as those who were students in the ’60s, attended and spent hours reminiscing with old friends.

Special thanks are extended to Bette Mahoney for scanning and enlarging an assortment of historic photographs for display at the Link, Ray Boc for acting as official photographer for the event, Jim Blubaugh and Alexia Morrison for delivering and serving beverages, Barney O’Meara for assisting with set-up, Jed Duvall for consulting on publicity, Judy and John Deal for performing an assortment of tasks, and Michael Caporuscio for acting as DJ and providing a playlist of “oldies” as background throughout the evening.

The Link is the perfect facility in Rappahannock for an event of this kind, and we’re grateful to the Link’s board for sponsoring this one!

If you or your organization is interested in using the Link as a venue for an event, please call the Link office at 540-987-8011 or e-mail info@rnpc.org to receive information on the facility and rates.
