The Washington Town Council has moved its regularly scheduled Town Council meeting on Nov. 8 to Nov. 15 at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall.
The Town of Washington is seeking letters of interest from residents interested in an appointment to the Planning Commission or the Architectural Review Board (ARB). The Town Council will consider these appointments on Nov. 15. Letters of interest will be accepted in person at Town Hall, 485 Gay St., Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. or they can be faxed to 540-675-1742, e-mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or mailed to P.O. Box 7, Washington, VA, 22747. All letters of interest must be received by close of business on Friday, Nov. 12.
There being no business to come before it, and after consultation with the chair, the regular October meeting of the Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA) has been canceled.

The public is invited to attend Superintendent Dr. Aldridge Boone’s “State of the Schools” address to the community. The event will be held Thursday, Oct. 21, at 6 p.m. in the Rappahannock County High School Auditorium. Copies of the school division’s annual report will be available at that time.
