Letter: Network at the Link Tuesday evening

Last fall, several board members at the Link began a discussion about holding an event that would provide an opportunity for business people within our community to come together in a relaxed atmosphere and spend a few hours networking with each other. We were enthused at the outset but unsure as to the viability and need for such a venue in Rappahannock.

On a dreary night in November we opened the doors at the Link to more than 50 businessmen and women who walked in with their umbrellas and raincoats. They brought with them the sense of community that makes Rappahannock such a special place in which to live and conduct business.

The overwhelming positive feedback received from the event has prompted us to hold the Rappahannock Business Link on a quarterly basis. The next networking event will be Tuesday (Feb. 15) from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Link in Sperryville. Bring some cards, a smile a handshake and enjoy some time well spent investing in your business network. Right here in our own Rappahannock County.
