On Thursday, April 14, the Washington Architectural Review Board (ARB) will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the Town Hall on Gay Street. Highlights on the agenda include: request for change to Rappahannock County’s application (alternative windows choice) to Sheriff’s Office addition; John McCarthy, zoning administrator, on “Minimum Maintenance Requirements for the Town of Washington” as laid out in the guidelines, and the practical and realistic aspects of enforcing them in the town

The Warrenton Wolf Pack Youth Rugby Club is looking for girls 13 to 16 for its new 16-U girls rugby team for the Virginia summer rugby league. For information contact coach Greg Hicks at 571-291-5880.

Skyline CAP Head Start is a preschool program for three to five-year-old children. Applications for the 2011-2012 school year are now being accepted. Children must be at least three years old by Sept. 30. Children with special needs are encouraged to apply. Skyline CAP Head Start is a free program for income-eligible families. The only cost to the parents is a small amount of time each month. Skyline CAP Head Start works closely with the public school system to help insure adequate preparation for a smooth transition into kindergarten.
