My breed’s name in Chinese means “puffy-lion dog.” Can you guess which breed? That’s right – chow chow. We’re thought to be one of the oldest dog breeds. I’m young, though, about a year old. The staff here at RAWL call me “the total package” – a wonderful sense of humor, love to play, love everybody I meet. I’m smart, good on a leash, house-broken and have pretty good manners for a youngster. Please come see me, the black puffy-lion dog, with the classic chow blue-black tongue.
This past week two of my canine colleagues were joined with new owners. The Rappahannock Animal Welfare League (RAWL), 160 Weaver Road, Amissville, is open 8 to 1 daily. Call 540-937-3283 or visit www.rawldogs.org.
