RAWL Dog: Reno

My name’s Reno. I’m a border collie. Herding dogs, we originated in the border region between Britain and Scotland. I’m told that we’re the smartest of all dogs. And we really need to have a job. We still work herding and excel at agility and obedience. I’m young, around 9 months old, black and white, with one brown and one blue eye. I calm down once I’ve worked/played and need a bossy dog around to set rules; cats . . . nope. Ask for the “Smart One” when you visit.

In the past month eight of my canine colleagues were joined with new owners. The Rappahannock Animal Welfare League (RAWL), 160 Weaver Road, Amissville, is open 8 to 1 daily. Call 540-937-3283 or visit www.rawldogs.org.
