Letter: ‘Fantastic’ again, thanks to . . .

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who played a part in this year’s Queen’s Feast Rappahannock Night at Camp Fantastic. Once again, it was a huge success!

The committee — Sandra Jenkins, Marie Davis, Jan Makela and Jim Blubaugh — were invaluable in planning this event. Charlotte Turnmeyer and Samantha Taubenberger offered face painting and  the Rappahannock County Sheriff’s Office was there with a snow cone machine and kept them coming all evening. The Good, The Bad and the Blues, Ralph Fortune, Rich Goddard, Ed Reidy and Chuck Ritenour provided the music, and Carol Beard mingled with the crowd, snapping photographs throughout the event.

The many restaurants, individuals and civic clubs who made donations include: Melting Pot, Muskrat Haven, The Country Cafe, Griffin Tavern, Flint Hill Public House, Kentucky Fried Chicken in Front Royal, Washington Baptist Church Sojourners for Christ, Ellen Mustoe, The Inn at Little Washington, Rappahannock Lions Club, Liz Blubaugh, Persimmon Springs Florist (Donna Brune), Sandra Jenkins, Carol Hackley, Dorothy Hackley, Amissville United Methodist Adult Class/Women and Rappahannock Mini Storage (Jay Miller).

We sincerely appreciate all the donations that make this annual event possible. We feel very fortunate to be able to participate in Camp Fantastic each year.
