Trash ordinance revised

The Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors approved several amendments to the county’s trash ordinance at Wednesday night’s (March 5) monthly meeting.

The amendments, first proposed by county attorney Peter Luke in November, predominantly focus on solid waste removal and inoperable vehicles on private property, and include an “innocent property owner” provision designed to protect landowners who had trash unknowingly dumped in their yards by others.
