Fifteen-year-old Gavin Jenkins of Chester Gap is shown on his way to finishing as the first Rappahannock County male in the 36th annual Fodderstack 10K on Saturday, April 26 in Washington. He finished third overall in the race, which was won (for the second time) by 39-year-old Karsten Brown of Front Royal. Lily Strange was Rapp’s first female finisher. After the race, the top finishers in the the 12-and-under category — Skylar Culbertson, Olivia Merchant, Shannon Kelley and Mia Nocco — pose with their handmade pottery prizes (made, as always, by Merrill Strange — Lily’s mom).
