Photos: Serious yard work

Renovations outside the world headquarters of the Rappahannock News took another step toward completion May 16 as (from left) Larry Ferguson, David Mosley and Mike Nirich from Racer Construction pour the first layer of a new concrete patio — part of the eventual sculpture garden (which has its grand opening from 4 to 7 p.m. on June 21) to be operated in the area behind the News’ Jett Street building by R.H. Ballard (the shop and gallery seen in the background, just across Main Street). The patio was finished by Ramey Masonry of Woodville.
