Walker Jones is pleased to announce that Michael Brown has joined the firm as a member and is managing its new Rappahannock County office in Washington. His practice areas include residential real estate, conservation easements, estate planning, probate administration, landlord and tenant law, and business law. Brown is a member of the Fauquier County Board of Zoning Appeals, and was recently appointed commissioner of accounts for Rappahannock’s circuit court.
Born in Blacksburg, Brown graduated from the College of William and Mary in 1989. Following several years in the title insurance industry, he received his J.D. with highest honors from the George Mason University School of Law. He was admitted to the Virginia bar in 1999, to the eastern district of the U.S. District Court in 2000 and to the western district in 2002 — bringing 15 years of legal experience to his clients.
