The Blue Ridge Singers, Front Royal’s newest chamber choir, begin rehearsals this month (7 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesdays at Front Royal Presbyterian Church) for a December performance. Spaces are still available (through the end of September) for tenors and basses. Audition forms are available at; interested singers are welcome to sit in on rehearsals.

The 4-H Horse Club meets every other Monday from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at 10 Estes Mill Rd., Sperryville, to ride horses and ponies. The next meeting is Monday, Oct. 6. Open to ages 9 to 18; free. The new 4-H club, “Super Sitters,” teaches aspiring babysitters (in fifth through 10th grade) the ins and outs of babysitting.
