The following highway work is scheduled; weather permitting, in Rappahannock County during the upcoming week, according to VDOT’s Culpeper District:
U.S. 211, Routes 231 and 729 — Mowing and roadside trimming. Motorists should be aware of mobile work zones and slow-moving equipment along the road shoulders. Reduce speed and follow traffic controls. Brief delays are possible.
U.S. 522 (Zachary Taylor Highway) at Route 620 (Fletchers Mill Road) — Pipe replacement. Alternating lane closures will occur at the intersection overnight Sept. 30 and Oct. 1, 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly. Motorists should obey traffic controls and expect minor delays.
