Letter: Much help, and Howard, make ‘Oz’ possible

We have just completed painting the sets and getting ready for this year’s holiday production of “The Wizard of Oz.” Many thanks must go to everyone who has lent a hand to create the magic in the theater, especially to Darien Reece, Barbara Heile, Davette Leonard and Ralph Bates for the countless hours they spent helping me paint the sets. Truly, I could not have done it without them.

And a very special thanks must go to Howard Coon for his fantastic vision and enthusiastic directing. It is in his imagination where all the magic starts, and it has been great fun to create all the scenes from the Kansas prairie to the fabulous Emerald City. He even invented a hot-air balloon and flying monkeys! I invite you all to become involved with our community theater and join in on the fun and excitement.
