Reminder: No paper this week (Dec. 25)

Important news: Rappahannock News will not be published on Thursday, Dec. 25.

Unlike last Christmas, we are not moving our world headquarters, which remain on Jett Street in Washington — but we are moving all of our advertising sales, design, pagination and billing systems to a new system that needs to be up and running before the next paper comes out Dec. 31. (That’s right, the Thursday, Jan. 1, edition of Rappahannock News will be printed and delivered a day earlier than usual.)

Our usual Fourth (Estate) Friday public coffee-and-talk session, which would occur on Dec. 26, is also canceled this month. It will return Jan. 23 to a location we’ll announce in this very spot in the Thursday, Jan. 22, paper.

As always, we’ll post news and event updates here on between print editions.
