The Headwaters board congratulates the board of the Northern Piedmont Community Foundation on its good judgment in selecting Jane Bowling-Wilson for its executive director. We on the Headwaters board have benefited from Jane’s enthusiasm, creativity and leadership during her tenure as executive director at the Headwaters Educational Foundation. She has devoted herself to our mission: fostering educational excellence by cultivating the cooperative spirit and resources of the whole community to benefit all students.
From generous friends of Headwaters who sponsor scholarships (more than $40,000 from donors this spring) to attendees at September’s Taste of Rappahannock (many full tables already sold) who give through their participation in this annual celebration, Jane has enlisted the efforts of those who care about our county’s children to support Headwaters programs. Jane has worked closely with the public schools and the program managers of Next Step, Starfish, READ, Farm-to-Table and the After School Enrichment Program to support these programs for our students. We send Jane to Northern Piedmont with all best wishes as she expands her scope of service to our greater community. We will enjoy having a friend at Northern Piedmont. And now, we embark on the challenging search process of finding an executive director to take over where Jane leaves off.
Congratulations to NCPF and Jane Bowling-Wilson. We look forward to benefits for the four-county region.
