VDOT traffic update, week of July 13

NEW: Route 522 (Sperryville Pike) – Roadway patching from 0.8 mile south of Route 655 (Short Road) to 0.4 mile north of Route 231 (F.T. Valley Road). Traffic reduced to one lane Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Motorists should obey traffic controls and expect brief delays.

NEW: Route 622 (Aaron Mountain Road) – Preparatory work for paving of gravel roads. Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., the road will be closed from Route 626 (Long Mountain Road) to just east of the intersection. Motorists should use an alternate route.

UPDATE: Route 637 (Jericho Road) – Replacement of bridge over Big Indian Run. Intermittent lane closures will occur Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., with traffic controlled by flagging. Motorists should be alert for traffic controls as they approach the area. Anticipated completion May 2016.
