Letter: The Food Pantry’s Back Pack Program

I was delighted to see the guidelines published in last week’s paper for free and subsidized meals for children at Rappahannock County Elementary School. We would like parents and guardians of these students to know that they are also eligible for the Back Pack Program. This is a program in which the Rappahannock Food Pantry sends home each Friday enough food for two breakfasts, two lunches, two dinners and snacks for eligible pre-K through seventh-grade students. There is no cost to the student. To sign up, permission applications can be picked up at the main office at RCES or can be sent home with the student.
