Letter: In support of Amy Hitt for Jackson district supervisor

Amy Hitt is actively involved in civic organizations including the Amissville Area Community Christmas Organization and Rappahannock athletics, both through Rappahannock Athletic Association (RAA), the local baseball association in Amissville, as well as the Rappahannock County School Sports Association (RCSSA). She has served on these organizations in various positions such as secretary, president, equipment and concession manager and fundraising chair. While on these organizations, Amy has never asked for anyone to do anything that she would not do herself. I have witnessed her cleaning bathrooms, picking up trash, flipping burgers and raising money for each organization.

Amy has also been a board of elections member, working the Jackson district polls for 10 years, both as a poll worker and chief.

Her purpose and overarching goal as a member of the Rappahannock County school board is supporting the school system to become second to none in the state, both academically and athletically. Amy believes that children should be afforded the best possible start for their future educational endeavors.

Amy has always been herself no matter what she has done. She has a go-get-’em attitude and will work tirelessly for the citizens of Jackson district. She wants our children to be able to come back and live here. She wants us to have services such as fire and rescue and access to the Internet. It is time for a change and a fresh perspective. Vote for Amy Hitt as the next Jackson district board of supervisors member.
