The web has found Rappahannock

A number of new or refurbished websites related to Rappahannock County have appeared on the internet in the last few weeks, and more may be on the way.

Two of the sites were already existing, but have been greatly revamped. has been transformed into a business and event site, geared to outsiders interested in visiting our fair County. And has been redesigned to be more modern and responsive.

Several new sites cover a range of issues related to the County. Four of them are fully up and running. has a Facebook feel to it, providing social conversation, free classifieds, and a forum for discussion. offers access to a variety of locally-taught learning experiences.

A newsmagazine for the area has been set up at; it provides a range of articles on issues, history, and lifestyle, as well as providing a forum for serious discussion of County matters. And hopes to provide a venue for examining the issues identified in its survey last year.

Still at a fledgling state, is set up to act as a virtual village, offering information and discussion related to aging in the County.

Among the more established sites, provides useful information on the local environment, and focuses on current issues such as the Dark Skies initiative. continues to provide a wealth of information and resource links, school information is available at, and County government information can still be found at
