Photos of Rappahannock Pantry Day 2016 can be found here.
That was the kind of day the Pantry had for its annual Food Pantry Day in Rappahannock. The skies over the Pet Parade threatened, but held off as dozens of dogs (and an iguana!) paraded around the front of the Washington School to the tunes of Dontez Harris’ clarinet. A double rainbow over Long Mountain graced the announcement of dinner at the gorgeous home of John Anderson — with no accompanying rain. And what a spread! So many volunteers, restaurants, wineries, a brewery, a distillery, floral arrangements and many others that made this a very special evening. I want to personally thank all of you in Rappahannock for your continued support of our “little Pantry that could!” And an especially big hug — for you know I am the “mad hugger” — to Lindsay Sonnett for attempting to tell veteran party planners Gwen Bates, Barbara Black, Bette Mahoney, Mary Thompson, Emily Harris and the incredible Terri Lehman how to plan a party. She was fantastic. And thank you, board members, for being the best board in the world.
Love and God bless,
PS: I desperately need a man.
