Shop like a fundraiser

Harold Beebout

If you Shop Like a Lion, you help benefit Rappahannock County’s vital volunteer fire and rescue squads. Rappahannock Lions Club member Richard Reidinger presents a $400 check earlier this month to Geraldine Payne, president of the Sperryville Volunteer Rescue Squad. This year’s donation to the SVRS is just one slice of an annual Lions Club program donating $2,800 to the county’s fire and rescue units. The donations come through Shop Like a Lion, part of the Lions Club website that allows online buyers to pledge a small portion of their purchases at six major national online retailers, including Amazon and Walmart. Visit and click on the Shop Like a Lion link at the top to get started.
