Thank you to all who came out to donate blood at the Red Cross Bloodmobile June 22 at the Washington fire hall. The Red Cross collected 30 usable pints of blood, surpassing our goal of 27 pints!
As always, this couldn’t be done without the generosity of Ann Spieker and the Washington Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company. One of the Red Cross workers commented how friendly everyone was at this site and how she really enjoyed coming out to Rappahannock, where she had never been before! Hopefully, she will get to come out to Little Washington again in January 2017, when our next blood drive takes place. In the meantime, we encourage folks to donate blood in Sperryville or Amissville or surrounding communities when they are eligible.
