Washington column for Aug. 18

WBC special service

Washington Baptist Church will have some special music this Sunday (Aug. 21). Clarinetist Marcie Brandriff and a friend from Northern Virginia, pianist Jen Ita, will be playing “Come, Thou Font of Every Blessing” during morning worship at 11 a.m. As always, everyone is welcome.


Sympathy goes out to the family of Polly Aylor on the death of her husband, Larry Randolph Aylor, known to some of us as Ranny. He passed away last Friday (Aug. 12) at his home.

His wife, Polly is a wonderful lady, We go back a long way, working together at the Aileen plant.

Service information is not yet available. Arrangements are under the direction of Clore-English Funeral Home in Culpeper.

Condolences also to the family of Allen Young Stokes Jr. Allen passed away on Thursday, Aug. 11. Arrangements are also under the direction of Clore-English in Culpeper.

Those we love who pass away live on in us through our memories. No one can take that from us. I am deeply sorry about your loss. You will be in my thoughts and prayers each day.
