Headwaters, a true foundation of support

Under the executive leadership of Kevin Brandriff, Headwaters held their annual Taste of Rappahannock last Saturday at Mount Vernon Farm. During last week’s heat, numerous behind-the-scenes planners and laborers worked tirelessly setting up another spectacular event for the Taste. The Headwaters organization is well renowned in the community for its mission dedicated to fostering education and promoting community resources to meet the diverse needs of our students. The students of Rappahannock County’s school division have firsthand experience with the foundation’s many programs dedicated to their betterment.

Students benefit each and every day from the dedicated volunteers that offer support at our elementary school through the Starfish Mentoring program, the After-School Enrichment program and the READ program. Additionally, Headwaters assists the high school students with career readiness planning and scholarships through Next Step, and Starfish adds support at our high school as well. The Headwaters programs support our educational curriculum through Mini-Grants that enrich daily activities and bring experiences to life for our youth and young adults.

From the school community to our Rappahannock family and friends, we say thank you for supporting Headwaters, a foundation whose donors and board members offered their time, talent and/or funds to support our schools. The Headwaters Foundation is truly a foundation of support for our students and our school division.
