An ambulance’s new life

Kathy Grove, chief volunteer with RappU, gets the paperwork from Curtis Mason of the Mattaponi Volunteer Rescue Squad, which donated a retired ambulance to RappU for use with the nonprofit learning center’s upcoming EMT, life-support and other health care-related courses in Sperryville. Kathy and Larry Grove drove to King William last week to pick up the ambulance — which, like many who retire to Rappahannock, still has lots of working hours left.
